Absolutely, as long as your household size fits in multiple sizes you can be on multiple wait list. Example: You have three headbeats on your application so you qualify to apply for a two bedroom. You have two people on your application you actually qualify for either a one or two bedroom unit. Note that when you decide to take an available unit you will become inactive on the other list.
The length of time it takes will depend on the size of unit you are waiting for and how many people are ahead of you. When a unit becomes available the office will reach out to the number/persons on the application and inquire if they are ready. If they are not we must move onto the next person. The prior person will NOT loose their spot and will be contacted in order on the next avaialbe. Please read the Membership Selection Criteria for additional information.
Please Note: Members in good standing are able to facilitate a sale if they have a qualified buyer. Qualified is the key, all potencial members MUST apply and qualify under 236 HUD guidelines. In these situations the waitlist is NOT utilized.
No, the elected member is a volunteer who puts in time as available. Some board members work full time or have other obligations that we need to try to work around in order to have a successful team. Many board officers also attend or chair committee groups and activities throughout the year. Remember this information when asking what have they done for us lately. The demands and work it takes is often done behind the scenes.
